So far many new schemes have been started and some old schemes have been reorganized or expanded in search of their progress. To solve the issue of malnutrition among women and children, from the rise of backward states, by obstructing drug smuggling among the youth to establish solar plants in rural areas, Modi Government is taking care of all the weak areas of Indian economy through their schemes and programmes. Following are the schemes/programs launched the Modi Government for the benefit of citizens of their country and the country as a whole.

Samagra Shiksha Scheme

The Samagra Shiksha scheme was launched by Union Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) on May 24, 2018, in view of improving the quality of education at School Level in India, enhancing the Learning outcomes and using technology to empower children and teachers.

The Minister said, to strengthen the libraries in schools, an annual grant of five thousand to 20 thousand rupees will be provided. This scheme will focus on digital education. It is evidence of the government’s commitment providing quality education to equip all children with different skills and knowledge necessary for their development.

Khelo India School Games

The Central Government of India inaugurated the first edition of India School Games (KISG) at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium from 31 January to 8 February 2018, in New Delhi.

This program highlighted India’s youth sports talent and their ability in sports. The main objective behind KISG was to revive sports culture in India at grass level, to make a strong foundation for all the games played in the country, and make India a great sports nation.This mega event was organized in 16 disciplines in the age group up to 17. This program was attended by about 5,000 school children from all 29 states and 7 union territories. Talented players identified in priority sports disciplines by a High-Powered Committee will be given annual financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh per annum for eight years.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ or ‘Clean India Mission’ is an initiative to make India a clean India by the Indian government. This campaign was officially launched by the Government of India on the 145th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on 2nd of October, 2014. It aims is to clean the infrastructure, roads, and roads in rural areas, towns, and cities. Its aim is to build community-owned and home-owned toilets. Since 2014, 86 million toilets have been constructed.

Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Yojana

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started a scheme for ‘Girls’ named ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ to save the girl and educate the girl’s child all over India. The scheme was launched on Thursday, January 22 in Panipat on Thursday. This scheme was specially launched in Haryana because the state has the lowest female sex ratio (775 girls/1000 boys)in the entire country. It has been effectively implemented in a hundred districts across the country to improve the situation of girls. Its aim is to improve existing welfare services present for girls. It mainly targets areas of Delhi, Bihar, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.

Sukanya Samridhi Yojana (Girl Child Prosperity Scheme)

The scheme was started by the Government of India on January 22, 2015. This scheme is also a part of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao. It encourages parents to establish a fund for them with the girl, who will take care of their marriage and future education expenses.

This savings scheme provided tax benefit and an interest rate of 8.5% from October 2017 to December 2017. The account can be opened in any commercial bank’s branch or post office in India.

This Life Insurance Scheme was launched on May 9, 2015, by PM Modi. 18 to 50 years old people with bank accounts are eligible for this scheme. On this Scheme, GST has also been discontinued. In this scheme, the annual premium is ₹ 330. Under this scheme, the amount is automatically debited from the account. If the customer dies, then the nominee will be paid a sum of ₹ 2 lakh. By 30 May 2018, more than 50 million people have enrolled in this scheme.

That was the schemes launched by  Narendra Modi but this does not end here, there are many more that will definitely improve the condition of India.
