IIT Madras takes up ‘Education’ as this year’s cause for Cultural Festival Saarang
Students of Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) introduce social campaign of its annual cultural festival, Saarang. As a gear of students for another version of Saarang, the organizing team of the students took ‘Education‘ as the reason.
LEAP- Learning and Education Accessibility Project will be the official social campaign of Saarang 2019.
The aim of LEAP is to create awareness and to eliminate illiteracy as the first step about the reality of the star and to reduce the gap through continuous efforts, empower the disadvantaged.
CBSE Board Examination 2019: 10th and 12th Date Sheet Issues:
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issues the date sheet of the 2019 board exam on his official website – cbse.nic.in – on Sunday December 23, by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
The CBSE Class 12 board examination 2019 will start from Feb 15, 2019 and ends on April 3. The CBSE Class 10 Board Examinations 2019 will be held from February 21 to March 29.
The date sheet of CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board examination was released issue on Sunday 23rd on the official website of the Board. CBSE Board 2019 board exam will be held in the morning session i.e. from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm. The Students will get answer books at 10. 00 AM and the papers will be delivered at 10.15 AM.
CBSE Board Exam Results 2019 is likely to be issued by the first week of June.
Students Of IIT Hyderabad Get 213 Offers From 80 Companies
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) -Hyderabad said on Monday that its students had seen 213 offers of 80 companies during phase-I of campus placement for 2018-19. In 2017-18, 191 students were kept in 68 companies.
A press release said that 418 students had registered for Phase I of the placement conducted between December 1 and December 22.It has been said in the release that students have accepted 17 pre-placement offers from companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Schlumber, Qualcomm, Goldmansachs, Swiggy, Electronic Arts and Dishow.
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) recruited two students, also said.
Mr Acharyya said, “Many Japanese companies have shown interest in our students and more than 10 Japanese companies have visited the campus this year.
Government to reduce classroom syllabus to facilitate experiential learning: HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar
Syllabus to be Reduced by 10%
This year to reducing the syllabus by 10% and by 20% in the following year so that kids can get the required time for experiential learning, life skills and sports,Javadekar said that when it comes to education, both public and private sectors have an equally important role.

India Needs 5 Lakh Medical Specialists: NITI Aayog
In its ‘New India @ 75 Strategy’ report, NITI Aayog has recommended that India needs about five lakh medical specialists.About 583 (31 percent) out of 1,830 faculty positions in six All India Medical Institutions (AIIMS) were completed till July 2017.
As of March 2017, 10.23 Lakh allopathic doctors were registered with MCI or State Medical Councils, according to the report.
