Bharat Bandh Today 27 September 2021

Almost 10 months have passed since last year’s farmers’ agitation against the three agricultural laws imposed by the central government. A Bharat Bandh has been called by Samyukta Kisan Morcha. During this time people have been appealed to voluntarily keep everything closed. Kisan Morcha claims that around 100 organizations are participating in it. A bandh begins at 6 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. As part of the strike, the SKM has called for the closure of government offices, schools, and other educational institutions, as well as shops, industries, and commercial establishments

State governments also support farmers:

Many state governments and political parties have supported the Farmers Bharat Bandh. These include the governments of many states including Punjab, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh. Starting at 6 am, the bandh will continue until 4 pm. During this time, public transport, government offices, and private business establishments may be affected, as trade unions have also expressed support for the farmers’ Bharat Bandh in many places.

12 political parties gave support: 

Many political parties have also supported the bandh called by the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM).
There are 12 political parties supporting Bharat Bandh, including Congress, BSP, SP, and AAP. There are many trade and transportation unions that have also supported the farmers’ call for Bharat Bandh. Bharat Bandh has been called for the third time by the United Kisan Morcha. SKM officials are hopeful the protest will successful.

Tight security arrangements in Delhi

A thorough security plan has been made in Delhi to accommodate the farmers’ Bharat Bandh. In view of the farmers’ Bharat Bandh, elaborate security arrangements have been made in Delhi. As a result of the violent incident that occurred on the Red Fort on 26 January, the police are taking extra precautions. It has also been assured by the farmers’ organizations that the bandh will be organized in a peaceful manner.
