Independence Day is a great day for every Indian citizen. On this day India got freedom from British rule, after 200 years. Every Indian citizen celebrates this day every year on the 15th of August From 1947. Indian counties as the world’s largest democracy all over the world. August 15, 1947, is the last day of British principles, many sacrifices of many respected fighters like  Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Lala Lajpat Rai, Moulana Abul Kalam Azad, and many more freedom fighters hard work to free from British rules. The Indian independence movement, led by Mahatma Gandhi, achieved a very big goal on this day. Many Indian people live abroad, but they celebrate independent days and celebrate happiness.

How did the British manage to rule India?

In the year 1619, the East India Company, a trading company of the British Empire, first penetrated into India in Surat, Gujarat. East India Company trading posts were established in the port city. After winning the Battle in 1757,  the British Empire Controlled the East India Company for 150 years, the British Empire dominated India. During the British Raj, on July 14, 1947, a bill to declare India independent was introduced in the British House of Commons and was passed in just a fortnight, giving India its independence on August 15, 1947, and eradicating the looters from the subcontinent.

Way to celebrate an Independence Day

There are many ways to celebrate the Indian independence movement

All Indian people celebrate our Freedom day. Each and every person celebrates his freedom in different ways.

     1 Decoration: All Indian citizens love to decorate their home, offices, school,college and wear good clothes, and celebrate independence day.

       2.  Enjoy:  Some people go to the market and eat good food, watch movies, Dancing, Singing National Anthem, and celebrate by social activities.

  3.Celebration schools And colleges: Some students prepare an Independence day topic to give a speech on this day. Some prepare songs, dance, and many more extra culture activities. 

Independence Day is celebrated by the government

India’s Prime Minister celebrates this day every year and raises our tricolor national flag at the Red Fort in Delhi. On this day  Indian army parade, in March past, the National Anthem recitation, speech by Prime Minister, and doing many cultural activities. The National Flag salute by the 21 guns in India is a traditional part of the Independence Day festivities. Every state of the country also celebrates Independence Day, and the Governor and the Chief Minister of the states serve as the guests of honor.

75th Independence Day (2021):

From the Red Fort Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation during the 75th Independence Day celebrations. A special invitation has been sent to every Olympian who won a medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Similar to last year, this year also keeps in mind all the social distancing due to the Covid pandemic. This year, Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many schools and colleges celebrate Independence day online to avoid social gatherings.
