If we talk about the updates of Coronavirus Omicron, then most of the cases are still positive. Kerala Health Minister Veena George said that most of the positive Covid-19 cases, tested positive for the Omicron variant of the virus.
After referring to the reporters, Veena George said that, “Continuous sequencing of Covid Positive samples is being done. Almost 94% of samples test positive for Omicron and 6% for delta.” She said that, “It is now clear that the third wave in Kerala is the Omicron wave.”
After that, she informed about the patients of less than 4% of covid-19 in the state needing hospitalization out of which less than 1% of them needed oxygen beds.
Out of total corona-positive cases in Kerala, 3.6% of cases are hospitalized, out of which 0.7% require oxygen beds and 0.6% require ICU.

It is not yet clear that Omicron is infective or not, for example, spread easily from person to person compared to other variants. It could be more genetic, studies are ongoing, in order to get more transmissible details.
Currently, 22,02,472 cases are active in India. The positive cases rated 17.75% in the last week. There are 11 States which contain 50,000 active cases. In Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Kerala there are more than 3 lakh active cases positive, said the Union Ministry of Health. Overall, nearly 17.75% of cases are positively rated across the country. And also 50,000 COVID active cases in 11 states, 10,000-50,000 active cases in 14 states, and less than 10,000 active cases in 11 states.
